your going to end up spending 2 or 3 or even up to 4 times more buying a kit rather then piecing a kit together...

Yeah well those things are expensive unless you can find one used..

But I could piece together a turbo kit for under $1000 easy including ecu mods, injectors and fuel pump..

Get a 14b from an old dsm,,or t3 from an old saab/volvo/ford turbo,etc..
For a good cheap manifold get cc-fab.net manifold
Ebay intercooler,piping and couplers
oli feed and return line from ebay
450 cc injtectors from old dsm,, average $ 50
fuel pump from gsr average ~$30
Get downpipe made at the exhaust shop or go on ebay and find an obx ..
Chipp you ecu and use a free program like uberdata (obd1) or turboedit (obd0)
May need an upgraded clutch
$10 autometer boost gauge off ebay
$20 blow off valve off ebay
The only thing thats really going to cost is the tuning on the ecu..

Now if you stay under 200whp you dont even need upgraded fuel pump, injectors or clutch..
