Tune up Question
I did a tune up at 32k miles, i added a new distri cap & rotor, ngk blue wires, iridium denso spark plugs. Now that I just hit 61k, would be necessary to change the ngk blue wires and the dens irdium spark plugs at 61k and run it a little more since the distr. cap and rotor is long overdue?
The spark plugs are indeed scheduled for replacement in 30k intervals*. The Cap / Rotor and wires are a change as you need item. They arn't even mentioned in the maintaince schedules.
I set up my own schedule:
LOF: 3k
Tire Rotate: 6k
Air Filter: 15k
Plugs: 30k
Trans Fluid Change: 50k
Cap / Rotor: 60k
Wires: as required
You get the idea.
*Depending on Manufacturers Recommendations.

Since the plugs are Denso Iridiums, they perform and maybe last longer than Platinums,do you think its necessary to change them now since i put 40k miles on them. The caps and rotor needs to be changed
If you're curious, pull a plug and inspect the electrodes. If they are not eroded, check the gap and re-install. The Iridiums are (most likely) designed for a longer service life.
The cap and rotor are due for retirement. They've had a long and uneventful career and deserve a rest.
