Need help with CEL 14...
i have an 89 DX 4dr w/ d15b2 with mpfi swap, i did this swap a month ago...
I know cel 14 is EACV, and I have that stumble at partial throttle which is also associated with this code from what Ive read...
we thought the old EACV was dead, so we put a brand new one in (140$!)...still code, still partial throttle stumble, and doesnt do anything for warm up in cold...
my brother checked resistance(one thing at eacv plug, and one thing at ecu pin) he said it was a 1/4 volt is what he measured, so we asssume the signal is going through; so then why the code....
the only other codes I get sometimes is 20(electric load), but more often then not its jsut 14...could it be a vacuum leak? if so we cant find it, and why do we still have code 14; EACV seems not to be working at all...
any suggestions would be much appreciated

I think its an 88 crx si ecu
and its a 91 si IM...
could this be why???

i dont think its the ECU and I dont think its a vacuum leak (because when you cover the TB it'll stall)...
Code 14 - Electronic Air Control Valve
Lets extra air into the intake manifold, to help control the idle under different loads.
Check the O-rings, for mountng condition.
Clean the inside of the Valve after removing, using any kind of solvent that will remove carbon build up. By spraying it inside the two holes ect...
Place the flat end of a screw driver on the EACV while the engine is running. Place the handle against your ear and listen. Should hear something in there jumping back and fourth at a rapid rate.
EACV Sensor Wires:
1 Blue/Black
1 Yellow/Black

I bought a complete conversion harness off of ebay, and it made the swap much easier of course, and the guy did a good job...but he mixed up the two blk/yel wires, thats why my EACV wasnt working....so we switched the wires around and it runs like a champ!!!
thanks for everyones help tho...
