ITR for low price?
I found this Type R for sale for $5500 in my area, but I'm really puzzled as to why its going for such a low price. What would make someone do this? Its a 2000 pheonix yellow with 43000 miles on it. The car seem perfect except for the gay shift ****, pedals, and wheels it has, but he says he'll include the original stuff. I even checked carfax to see if it really was an R , and it is. What do you guys think?
have you gone to take a look at it? if you're relying on pictures alone, i'd be skeptical. something does sound fishy though... it's too good to be true. 43k, 2000 for $5500?

I think its not his R. I think he "borrowed" the vin and pictures. And I think he wants your money.

Tell him you want to stop by and take a look at it. See what he says.
If he then claims that the car is overseas or somewhere else, it's a common scam...

Correct. There are three PY ITRs listed, two for $19K and one for $15K.

The guy emailed me again, and the ad on cars.com is no longer posted. Here's what he wrote:
The car is located in Saratoga, California but don't worry I will pay shipping to your house. I have to tell you that I recently moved to Birmingham,United Kingdom due to work and family. I lost my job and now the bank knocks at my door to pay the rate for the house I bought so I really need to sell the car fast to solve this issue.
The price is $5,500. As this is a large purchase I suggest using a third party to complete this purchase. For safety reasons I think that the most important thing, when we make a deal over the Internet, is both of us to have 100% protection in case of fraud or anything else As soon as the payment will be made I will take a plane to US and take care of things.
I had the car listed on a couple of websites and I want to finalize the deal through a third party escrow agent that will provide 100% protection for buyer and seller.
I will close the deal using Ebay's Security Center. They will also offer a 5 days inspection period with money back guarantee.
We will use Ebay's Secure Payment Center to handle the funds. I have a $20,000 insurance policy with them so We will be both refunded in case of something happens.
This is how the deal works:
1.The Seller will open the transaction --> 2.The buyer has to make the payment to Ebay's Payment Center and they will deposit the money into their secure escrow account --> 3. The seller will ship the item to the buyer and he has 5 days to inspect it -->4.The buyer will contact Ebay and will notify them if he is satisfied or not --> 5.Ebay will release the money to the seller(in case the buyer is satisfied) or will refund the buyer(in case he is not satisfied).
Now what do you guys think?

hi. i have a 2000 itr with 45k miles on it, for sale for only $499.
the car is located in NY, but i have relocated to Hell as I have died. I am speaking to you from my afterlife.
Since this is such a large sum of money, I suggest we use a third party for the transaction, such as http://scamthelivingcrapoutofm...t.com
let me know if your interest. I have 3 days before i am condemned to purgatory forever.
