Toda header cracked any advice repair or replacement
I just noticed a hairline crack starting on the weld of my toda header at the top and trailing of to the side. I just purchased this like 6 months ago and although I have to drive it in the winter and it looks ugly its almost a new header. Anyone ever had this happen ? can it be repaired or will Toda replace it? hope you can see the pics in the link

Do you still have the receipt or any proof of purchase from a Authorized Toda Dealer ?
If so I think it covers 1 year manuf. defects.

Toda will not replace it. Thier warranty is limited to manufacturer defects upon receipt of the header. Once you bolt it up to the car, the warranty is void. You can call Toda Racing yourself at 714-327-0181 and they will tell you the same.

uh any welder that doesn't use the proper filler rod for the right material should not be welding. I'm assuming this header is 304 stainless along with the flange you will want to have your welder use a 308 Welding rod.
you will want to be very careful to make sure the weld is cleaned extremely well and there is adequequate penetration when welding. There is a chance that even if properly repaired it may crack again if this is the case remove that section of tubing and have it replaced with another.

If you find a good TIG welder, completely clean the header and purge it with Argon it should be able to be easily fixed. Did you use the support bracket for the header?

Is that cracked on the right of the TODA POWER or is it just the angle of the pic?

I spent the past weekend polishing mine up. After a good buff it'll look chrome until the first start up.
