Default Powder Coating - Exhaust Manifold

My DC sports exhaust manifold on my Sol has seen better days. Its getting pretty rusty from the elements and the rare but occasional scrape isnt helping. I wanted to freshen it up by painting it the dull grey it was puchased with spray paint, but I hear powder coating the header would be better. Would a few light coats spray paint with adequate dry time be acceptable? Anyone have any idea how much powder coating labor goes for? Thanks for the help.

I'm not real sure how much $$ powdercoating is, but spray paint rarely seems to work. It seems to work for some people, but for most, regardless of how high temp paint they use, it peels and boils off after a few months.

I would like to do something similar myself, but I can't find a viable option other than powdercoating.

Powder Coating is not for parts that will see 400+ degrees of heat with regularity. You need to have your header Jet-Hot coated or, since that will be upwards of $200, just get a new one.
