Need help with turbo'in a gsr
I have a 92 integra with a 94 gsr motor and im looking into turbo'in it. The engine is in goo shape and I have a socketed ecu and fpr and fuel rail. I am looking for reliablity over power. I have a few things in mind... let me know what you think i should use..
drag manifold
garrett 57 trim turbo <--where is a good place to buy it?
stelth mode oil lines
dsm injectors
dsm bov or ebay bov
custom ic and dp piping
and yeah I wanna keep ac...let me know what u think?

ok, the drag manifold will fit with that turbo if u also use the drag downpipe. your setup should work well on tha DA. i have a turbo DA myself and let me tell you, you WILL be cutting into the car. intercooler piping is a pain in the ***, and so is a downpipe. but its not all that hard. just plan everything out and it will all come out good. check the loink in my thread to see pics of my car
dont get a drag manifold....they are prone to boost creep. For that same price you can find something a lot better. I bought a SPoolin tubular log manifold....find something like that! The turbo is good, but what are your goals? The reason i ask is because depending on your fuel management, you might have to get bigger injectors. If you run a VAFC system, you can't push the injectors as far as you can on a P28; therefor, if you wanted say 300whp, you'd have to get 550s or 720s. As far as the BOV, you're just going for function, which is fine.....
One thing i would recommend....get a manifold and downpipe together! It makes things a lot easier. I had to have my manifold sent out to have a downpipe made for it. It is possible to keep AC w/ your set up....i'm doing it so far
What is your budget and what are your goals??

I dont have any serious goals except for to have a reliable setup and upgrade later. Ill be running uberdata. yeah i hear the dsm bov is a good bov and i can always upgrade that with ease.
where is a place that sells manifolds and down pipes together?
right now im not buyin anything im just researching and lookin around.
thanks

i belive one of your absolute 1st modifications to your DA should include a new front traction bar/crossmember and a 92-95 civic half wide radiator. it will make your car soooooooooo much easier to work on.
and listen to the other guy who said to get the spoolin starter kit.

yes be ready for some fabrication....
if you wanna keep your a/c then you don't have many options for a manifold. drag is ok, but i rather go with something like an inline pro or revhard. drag is known boost creep as someone else has said (it's not in every setup, but occasionally). a lot of fabricators offer log manifolds too, so just check everyone out. i got all my stuff through CRPturbo.com
your turbo is fine. a garrett t3/to4e would be best. i think most people do run them with a .63 a/r and .57 trim. if you want a bit quicker spool, get a .48 a/r and .57 trim. i like that turbo for street use. stealth mode turbo lines will be fine. there's also tuner toy's, fast turbo, etc etc
dsm parts are coo too. it'll help you save money. it's not bling bling, but it works none the less. usually the dsm bov and flange will go from 20-60 bucks. depending where u get it. my cousin got one off ebay for 30. at the junkyard it was 60. with dsm injectors, i'm gonna assume you'll be getting blue top 450cc's. get resistor boxes, or you'll be throwing CEL's. you can find resistor boxes in the EF's.
intercooler, the ebay ones work fine. piping wise, good luck. i haven't seen too many nice DA ic pipe setups. lol downpipe, 2.5-3inch is good.
one thing i do recommend is getting some slim fans. it'll help you out a lot with making some more space. consider making the fan a pusher too.
