I searched and not much came up and just read a post along the same lines of what kinda happened..

I was driving just like normal for about a good 25 minutes with no problems, from a red light i started to accelerate, i was approaching about 40mph and the car completely cut off for a second then stuttered like it wanted to keep going..

the car stuttered a few times and then it cut off entirely, i waited a couple of minutes and tried to restart it, it cranks all the way up no problem..just doesnt start., i checked under the hood seeing how i was short for time cause of class..looked fine, im sure its fuel related somehow.

anyone have any suggestions on what it may be? im hoping its something minor, thanks in advance

btw the car is a 99 civic

 

do u hear the fuel pump come on when you turn your key kinda like a hmmmmm sound if not could be ur fuel pump or the fuel pump relay....if it isnt that then its going to be a dizzy problem like the igniton module....does the car turn back on at all if you let it sit for a while or it just wont turn on anymore?

i didnt have but a few minutes before i had class,..it just cranks all the way up just doesnt start all the way..so to answer the question, it doesnt start all the way up

it was odd how it was all fine, and then cut off about 30 minutes into my trip to school, while driving

Yeah I'd check for problems with the distributor if I were you.

 

Or even the ignition switch could be bad.
