Default Type R sticker flaked off at the car wash

WOW, I never thought something so stupid could go wrong. I was at the car wash using the power washer and when I got to cleaning the driver's side by the sticker, the sticker disintegrated when the water hit it. It must of dried up or something stupid. The sticky stuff was still there, just no sticker. And boy, the stuff that didn't come off was a bitch to get off, had to use a razor blade, which left a few small nicks in the paint

This sticker was replaced when the car was refinished. So stupid!

This happen to anyone before???

A razor blade on your paint?! Even this guy knows better than that.

wow.. smart guy of the year..

1. Power washers remove decals
2. Razor blades remove paint
3. Clear coat over decals prevents this in the future.

Shitty thing was, I heard of goo gone shortly after I did it. Mind you, I used mineral spirits to get the sticky off, but where there was still decal, I had to start the peel with a blade.

I was pretty careful tho, there's only a few small nicks..

I have heard of a friend that it happend to but it was because of the pressure of the power washer that caused it to peal. Or you can just debadge your type r like i did.

Debadging is out of the question. I loose too much horsepower that way.

WTF??? The list price is $49 for the side sticker for black cars, $33 for the side sticker for white/yellow cars, and you can get 20 percent off from Delray, maybe even better from Len. Unless you're talking Canadian dollars, you got ripped...
