Default Possible exhaust pressure trouble?

Set up
90 ef si
Jdm b16 obd1
Hks turbo manifold
Gt2871R
Self made 2.5” down pipe
No cat
2.5” invidia cat back exhaust
stock ignition
ngk 7 plugs
2.5” Johnny racer FMIC
greddy r blow off valve
chipped p28
turbo xs dual stage boost controler
crome pro plx m300 wideband

see sig for pics and more info

problem is I get 9psi @ 6800 and its down to 7.8psi by 7800. runs down the ¼ mile are shitty as well 14.5 @ 100 mph.

Compression check was 180’s across the board. I double checked all charge pipe couplings and there all nice and tight so I don’t think it’s a boost leak.

It does the same **** on low boost 6.1psi drops down to 5psi

I’ve always read that 2.5” exhaust is adequate for 300HP level, however the EF has a couple more turns than most models have. So I’m thinking that pressure is backing up and slowing the turbine resulting in a loss of pressure. I started looking through some old time slips and noticed the best run I had 14.0 @ 102mph was when I was running nitrous and before the Invidia exhaust after that the best I have ran is 14.5 with nitrous or turboed.

Any thoughts or input would be welcomed. I ordered a cut out to weld in this weekend I’ll hope it not raining and can get a run in this weekend. I’ll keep you posted.

here is a pic just to get some people to look at the post like said before lots of pics and info in sig.

what spring is in your wastegate.....i would check for leaks in your charge piping and then if that wasn't the case i would look at your boost controller.....i would guess that its a leak somewhere

i believe that turbo is internally gated right? try grabbing the pressure source for the wastegate from the intake manifold instead of the turbo...it may help

Thanks for the suggestions but the BOV is not loose, the charge pipes aren’t leaking, and the turbo is internally gated with the signal coming from the manifold.

Has anybody else ran the Invidia exhaust or the Skunk 2 exhaust system on a ef Hatch. When I get on the throttle I can’t even hear the exhaust just the turbo spooling.
