no bottle. carbed high compression.. you have to run some sort of external fuel management system. but 12's no bottle with some right headwork and some pistons and a good tuner.

EDIT: whoa whoa I disappear for 10 days and post counts are back? wtf?

I got a D15 project of my own.

Me and my freind are building it up for 15psi boost.

V8'ers-

"WTF? that's a 1.5 liter? how did you just put down 300hp????"

Earns more respect than a dinky B-16!!

Yeah If I had the Knowlege of Honda's back when I "NEEDED" to do an engine swap I would have just done that also.

Hey, I've got one of those projects too, a VX VTEC head on a D15 block, with MPFI, and probably either a NOS kit, or GReddy turbo kit. Maybe both, well...... probably both

im not using vtec and im not using a turbo im goin NA with this like mugenef7 said before its all in the pistons and teh head the car is only gonna weigh like1500 lbs so 180 hp should be good for a low 13 high 12 all motor and a 50 shot to 100 shot could put it down to low 12s i dont want to go into teh 11s but once at a track i dont goto so i can get kicked out hehe but im one not to condone n2o ill keep ya posted

zc pistons are an option but i have a1 pistons the dohc d16 here in the 86-98 teg the teg has a huge combustion chamber witch makes it have a low compression 9.5:1 but with teh smaller combustion chamber of a d16 a6 head shaved of course it will make a compression of around 12.1:1

but you do know that the 1.5L psitons are 3mm taller than any of the 1.6L pistons. You compression ratio will really suck using any 1.6L piston in a 1.5L. The Teg/ZC (same thing BTW) pistons MIGHT get the compression ratio back near to stock specs.

12's is easy with a built bottom end.
I was running my D16A6 4yrs ago up until this year. It has headwork, custom cam, and just bolt ons. The block is stock and the clutch was stock when it layed down 13.6 passes. After 3 yrs, nothing has been done to the block or the head. and still hitting consistent 13's. And all this time, it was adaily driven car that was getting 30 mpg.
I always wanted to build the bottom end but this year we finally are doing it but as a full racecar. Its gonna have a sick *** high compression motor on C16 gas.
14:1 compression!??! hell naw.. were going way higher than that. Thanks to support from ARIAS and Bisi Ezerioah(10sec D15 allmotor), we'll get this project out by end of summer.
We'll keep you updated on the website on the transformation of the car from street car to full race car.

Back to the topic, let me know if you need some special cam for the D16 head, either Vtec or the non-vtec. I have em avail for the D series fans out there.
