If anybody hear has stripped out an upper trannt mount, I have found an easy way to fix it, provided its not stripped to deep(mine wasn't). The holes for the studs in the transmission, there are two, are drilled and tapped much deeper than the studs go down. If you strip one out just take the stud, remove the nut from it. Then cut off the pointy tip(this normally faces up, you will make it face down into the hole now), tighten the stud into the hole.

You will notice that one side of the stud has a longer threaded portion, this is the side that used to be pointed up and had the nut tightened to it. After you are done you will have it screwed in to the tranny, essentially upside down. The nut will now be threaded onto the shorter portion.

If you dont understand. I am sorry. Photos would help but in the heat of battle you dont really think about your ******* camera.
