Default H22 or H23 DOHC head on a SOHC F23?

is this possible? i think i've read somewhere that you can change the head of an H22 or H23 into an F23. I'm just interested in trying to get the DOHC without doing an engine swap. also, is the F23 like the oddball engine because all i hear are things about F22's. Last question: what parts make up "the head" of an engine. my car is a 2000 LX Sedan.

do a search for "g23" and you should get quite a few threads that pop up in the prelude forum. the 3 ive seen the most of are by sam1am26, piratemcfred, and prelittlelude. sam did a h22/f23 hybrid, pirate did h23/f23, and prelittlelude started us all off with the h22/f22 hybrid.

sam's - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1069869
pirate's - https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1
prelittlelude's - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=776837

hope this helps!

it is OBD1, but its just the head + valve cover, and doesnt have an intake cam cause UPS decided to be gay and break it.

Yeah many people have started doing this now... I had an F23 Block with an H22 Head boosted at 6 psi in a prelude for a while.... And now I am getting ready to have an F23 Block with an H23 Head boosted at 10 psi in a civic couple... Here is a link to the thread about my F23/H22... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1069869
