Default Rims, Primer, Rust-oleum high heat painting OH MY

SOOOO, i painted my slipstreams a while back.......... Now ive stripped them to the metal.

I want to repaint them with Rust-Oleum high heat paint. Ive used this paint before on the slips... I just painted right over the original paint from rota when i did this and it looked great.

BUT now that they are stripped do i need to primer them, Thos of you who have used this High Heat Paint know that it sticks great and drys in 10 min's.

is primer necessary now that the wheels are stripped? All i want is them to look nice, and im a noob with paint.

THANKS IN AVANCED

I definately would use primer as the first coat and then a few thin top coats. That's me though.
