If the original donor car is still available, scoff the ecm and complete engine harness. This should also include the engine management harness to the ecm. You'll pretty much have everthing you'll need.
It's a straight OBD1 - OBD1 swap so there shouldn't be anything remarkable about it.

from what I understand the Vtec is good for 5 ponies, and the header is good for 10hp. Id definately look into cheaper ways to get more power......

Sorry, my F...'in Computer locked up (That's what I get for building it myself...)
Yes, I believe you'll require the MT ECM. (I didn't catch that on the original post)

YeuEmMaiMai has a valid point (although you've already got the Vtec). Unless you got it for an absolute 0, that money would have bought all menner of horsepower.

an auto trans ecu will work with no problems, you will just have a constant cel light that will not go away (#19)

i wasnt goin for all that much of a power upgrade. its a 94 lx with 240000. i need a motor pretty soon. no knocks or pings and no oil usage but im still scared of it. the vtec has 100000 on it and runs good and i got it reasonable cheep.

its very easy, retain your original distributer, and run two wires from the vtec solenoid on the motor to the corresponding pin locations to the ecu...

can u find a diagram or a picture or make one for me of what wires to put where. I have always been a chevy man and variable timing and computers is very new to me. also since im putting in the vtech anyway, what are the best values for upgrades. i hear that suspesion and header is the way to go. where can i get a chip for good hp and price. ive got a AEM full cold air and a k&n filter now and a short throw also. whats my best next move, keeping in mind this is a daily driver used for college.
