Default need some help/advice for Type R head on GSR block

I have a stock 2000 GSR. Take a look at this link and let me know what else I need to do this head swap ie. valvecover, gaskets, intake manifold, throttle body, ecu, etc.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Acura-Integ...wItem

Also, I realize that I should change my pistons as well b/c of lower compression. Is it worth it to do this swap or should I just swap to ITR camshafts/valvetrain, get an ITR ecu and blox manifold.

ITR head with pistons = port and polished head, higher compression, port matched head and manifold, good power.

GSR head with ITR camshafts and blox manifold = head and manifold aren't port matched, less power, less money.

Sorry for the long post but I need help making a decision. Thanks for any responses.

the only thing extra u will need is an intake manifold but for 1400 bucks you can just get your gsr head PnP'd

I don't think the PR3 head is port matched. Afterall, B16 and Type-R heads are the same. The PnP isn't significant.

I'd go with P72 head with blox mani and CTR cams. As well as P73 pistons.

$1400 includes the camshafts and valvetrain which all together is about $700-$800 brand new.

Sorry, maybe I'm using the wrong term. I'm talking about the different intake port angles.

it still doesnt matter, why would you swap out a vtec head for another one when you could just build the one you have with that money. Besides if you build the GSR head right with a good set of cams, PnP etc you will make more power than swapping on an ITR head

I'm just trying to work out the cost vs benefit.

So you guys think it's more worth it to stick with the GSR head and get it port and polished.

Swapping on a Type R head runs me an extra $700.
How much does a port and polish usually run for.

about 700 for a good PnP. plus putting on an ITR head will lower you comp.

or you can get some stage 2 cams, valve springs/retainters, single stage im, chipped ecu or itr ecu and call it a day! You'll see probably more power produced from this than shelling out the funds for higher comp pistons + itr head, etc.

Thanks for the responses guys. Looks like the "poor man's Type R" isn't worth it when you already have a GSR head.

So it looks like I'm going with the following:
CTR camshafts/ITR valvetrain
ITR ecu
blox manifold
maybe ITR pistons, port and polish head
