Track was 3/4 mile and we were hitting 80 MPH on the straights, it was sick!

Those guys sure can get around a kart track, who says drag racers don't know how to turn???

I finished 7th overall out of the 50 Fans/Spectators and was fastest in my group which earned me a plaque for my efforts and entry into the top 10 run offs. I moved up to fourth overall when that was said and done, how about that, another drag racer that can make turns. The guys that finished ahead of me have some serious kart seat time so I was really surprised at how I did, they were 30 lbs lighter as well. Rankings were based on fastest lap time for each session.

I had the NHRA guys sign the back of my plaque for me. Ron Capps was fastest overall, followed by Cory and then Gary.

It was a pretty cool day, those guys were kick ***.

those guys were all pretty cool and they kicked my butt! It was a blast, I was supposed to be home laying in bed, oops! But that's another story!

The NHRA website has a little piece about it, I fingered out the guy that was going to win it the first time I saw him driving, he was hanging with Ron Capps. I told him I had my eye on him, had to see what I could learn from him.

I can't wait to get back to some more track events.

thats cool. the closest i ever got to a pro racer, was when al hoffman almost ran me over in his golf cart at maple grove and i flipped him off for driving like an *** with people all over the place. congrats man.
