No Impact Screwdriver, Can Rotor Come Off? NEED TO KNOW ASAP
maybe you will be lucky just be careful not to strip out the heads and use a good #3 phillips not a cheap *** $1.00 discount auto store screwdriver, if you use a good one it makes a difference trust me
get a good screwdriver and make sure you got it in there heh.
i stripped mine on one side and had to drill em out, and they were some solid screws
I replaced mine with some allensockets though afterwards. Ever since I never had a prob getting them out heh
. Just throw some grade 8's +.

get a nice big phillips head screw driver and then take a pair of vice grips... grab a hold of the handle....apply pressure and turn
drill them out, its not worth it. This was discussed in the integra, they are for assembly line purposes. With the caliper on they can't fall off and with the wheel on they serve no purpose. Look at the size of them, they couldn't hold down a floor mat
just make sure you put a little grease on them when you put them back on.. that way you wont have that problem again. and it will also help to torque them down properly, which isnt a whole lot of torque anyway.

no it isnt, i've had them just pop right out before
but there useless and i'd just drill em out or leave them out once you get em out, less headaches and there not needed

Ive always used a regular screwdriver and it wrks good for me. I shoot it with some wd40/PB blaster an wait like 15 minutes. Then i put the screwdriver in there and push on it as hard as i can with my right hand...then turn it with my left. Stripping usually comes from not having enough inward pressure on the screw. Which is the whole purpose of the impact screwdriver...this is just a more cost effective way of doing it. Good luck...it can be a bitch.
just go to pepboys they sell impact screwdriver. Its a good thing to have when your= are doing your breaks. I just got done with mines and im bout to do the fronts now. . .
You may be able to break the screws loose with a center punch and a hammer. But an impact screw driver is definitely the better approach.
theres an easy way to do it, get a hammer with a rounded head on one side, and a BFH 1. place rounded head hammer onto screw 2. pound the hell outta the other side of that hammer with the bfh 3. use a flathead, put it into the screw and hit the flathead counter clockwise until screw comes out just a trick i learned when i broke about 10 tips from those crappy impact screwdrivers in 3 days oh btw rust penetrant always helps good luck
