Default DA Rear Brake Pad Problem (PBR ULT Ceramic)

Ok Im trying to bolt up the caliper with the new pads in place. On the inner pad there is that metal clip. The PBR pads seem to be a little longer clip compared to the stock units that came from Autozone that were on the car. Now it looks like that clip is getting in the way and not letting me bolt the caliper back on.

Hopefully I got the right units, #D 1163 RU

Pictures of the clip on the 2 pads

Anybody use these pads or run into a similiar problem??

If I cant figure it out its either put the shitty pads back on or grind down that stupid clip thing that doesnt seem to do anything.

If I'm thinking correctly about what you're talking about, those clips keep your pads close towards the rotor so I think which ever one fits best should work. But if you're talking about the shims then use the one that came with it and just cut the extra parts.

Not the shims that hold it into the caliper holder and not that one that is on the underside of the top of the caliper.

Its the a metal bracket/clip that attaches to the inside brake pad. Its slightly longer and hitting the mount for the parking brake cable. The old one isnt as long and didnt touch anything.

when your pads wear down, those clips are what squeel telling you they need to be replaced. You could always just take them off as long as you pay attention to the amount of brake pads you have.

I had a similar problem, try bending the tab a little bit. I got mine to fit.

Ok well now I gotta do it next weekend. Put the shitty pads back on to get to school.

Why did they make it like that? Not test fit or something??

Ohh and how are these pads? I got same setup for the fronts too.

Did you try using that inner pad on the opposite side wheel? Maybe with a different orientation, the 'wear indicator' will either be on the top end of the caliper or the bottom end, whichever will let it clear the other hardware, I just cant remember right now. Does this make sense? I hope so. If not, I'm tired.
