Default picking a tire

Ok, I'm about to order tires and I can't decide which to get. I'm stuck between the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 and the Falken Azeni. I've heard they're both awesome tires, although I think the Potenzas are better in the rain. Tire rack still has their sale on the 195/55 S03's, but I can get 205/50 Azeni's for a little cheaper (and a slightly wider tire would be better, right? this is on stock GSR rims btw). Anyone have a recommendation as to which would be the best choice? Thanks a lot..

And yes I did a search.. and for some reason cant get any results to pop up..

Found something when I searched the word tire.

Falken Azensis
Advantages: predictable, cheap, somewhat sticky, great in the wet, a street tire so you can drive to the track, do some hot laps, and drive home.
Disadvantages: not a race tire, hard to find (out of stock in ITR sizes).
Don't really think you'll need azenis if you're not into weekend auto-x's. HTH

Hey now I DID do a search and for some reason even super common words (like tire) weren't returning any results. :\

I am planning in getting into auto-x soon, which is why I'm looking for the best gripping tire. But I am also only going to get one set of tires, so I need good wet traction too, since it rains about twice a day here.

Anyway, thanks, I thought the Azenis had crappy wet traction so this does help somewhat. :> I just want to know which is a better overall tire.

Seeing as how you have narrowed it down to two already, I don't know if this might be of help, but here is the entire thread:

I just received my Azenis from Vulcan Tire, they are SICK!

I would say S03 if you are going to daily drive a lot and NOT do trackdays often.

I went with Azenis because I drive like crazy and need an allout performance tire so I stop using my AO32R on the street... they get me into too much trouble
