Did a search but didn't find anything.

I'm picking up some hood pins today, but how do I install them?

Sparco's should be fine right? Driving on the freeway scares the **** out of me.

 

figure out the best placement of the pins.... and drill some holes in your hood. i've heard of some people using tape around the area where they are drilling to prevent cracking but i dunno how well that works. make sure you have a decent drill bit

 

pretty easy...put the pins where you want them and screw them down tight. Use some sort of shaving cream or something and dabble it on the top of the pins then set the hood down so you know where to drill. you need to start with a very small drill bit and progressivly increase the size until the hole is big enough

 

Am I supposed to drill from the top of the hood down? Or from the bottom up?

it doesnt make a big difference.... if youre going to do it from the top make sure you dont slip with the drill bit. doing it from the bottom would probably be your safer bet.

 

is this the same for the NRG hoodlocks? or is that install different?
