i have an idea but dont know if it will work. maybe you guys can help.
people use a hurst line lock when doing a burn out in drag racing, which locks the front brake lines by the push of a button. what if we can use this same method in locking our tires with a hurst line lock and have it connetced to all four wheels. you could have a hidden button in you car and press it locking all the tires everytime you get out. the only problem is that a hurst line lock is a push botton and uses a 12volt switch to activate. i dont know if you could set it up so that it keeps the wheels locked with a on and off switch instead of a push button and not drain your battery.

Yeah but a good alarm is just not good these days. Where i from if they want your
car and they cant get it started, they will push it with another car or tow it.
Thats what they did to me

Alarms and locks only keep the honest away. If a thief wants your car, they will take it. You are best off having an alarm and using it as well as being careful about what you leave in the car, where you park your car and who knows what you have in your car. Most thefts are a crime of opportunity. If a thief sees that you have an alarm system and you have nothing of value in the car they are less likely to steal it. I have also seen where people have their car stolen because they did not arm the alarm system because they thought it was safe in their driveway or in the garage. Evertyime I leave my car I hit the arm button. Even if I am parking in my own garage.

no but. if you have a alarm and have something locking all the tires, they wont expect that. the majority of the time they steal your car with somebody else with a car. if they cant get it statred they will push it. but by the time they figure that all wheels are lock they wouldnt bother with your car. you might have a broken window or something but you still have your car. now if you leave it out side your house every day then i would worry that if they didnt get it the 1st time then they would probably get a towtruck.

this is what i will do. get an autolock, get a fuel cut to the fuel pump, get a good alarm with dual kill ( passive starter and ignition kill). passive kill means Normally open circuit. put a U- bike lock over your wheel. if they were able to get pass all this, the ride still wont be a fun one since the U lock will feel like a speed bump everytime the wheel rotates. mount the siren in a good hidden and hard to get to location and make all the wires hidden within OEM wire looms. last resort, mount a sniper rifle on your balcony with it aiming at your car's direction.
SO PUTTING FOUR WHEEL BOOTS ON THE RIMS IS LESS EFFECTIVE THEN THE LINE THEORY.Back in the day ,summit racing did cell a lockable brake cylinder just for this purpose.i would just do a good alarm a fuel cutoff and the alphalock wheel boots.

i don't know what is more effective, it is just that i already have a U-bolt lying around and that's what i use on one of my wheels. i don't use it all the time, only if its gonna be parked outside for more than 2 days.

right now i use the viper pager alarm with the ignition cutoff,i have airhorns installed to the alarm along with original siren and i use two wheel boots.like you said u can still drive ur car with the lock.the thief can easily drive to an area and change out ur one wheel.with the boot they need to change it on the street where it sits.most thieves,if they see two boots on the car ,they will move on.it is to hard to pic the locks.unless u have something special, they will move on.
