Default hid jdm headlights

anyone got pics of how they got there jdm hids to fit?remove abs or bend the abs out of the way????need help did a search and there was nothing.

if you use the 98-2001 abs unit it will work fine, the newer ones are smaller

That's not really possible unless you have a 98+ parts car and plan on swapping the ENTIRE brake system over. The 98+ ABS system is vastly different than the older system, you can't just go swapping out parts unless you swap the entire brake system... that means master cylinder and booster, ALL hardlines to all 4 wheels and the ABS modulator, the modulator itself, the pump, maybe some wiring. I'm thinking it probably uses a different ABS computer, as well.

mount the ballast somewhere else besides right behind the headlight.

well yeah, the HID headlights is one reason for Honda changing over to a smaller ABS unit in 98.

removing the ABS will give you alot of extra room for the ballasts and other misc things like a blaster coil, catch can, etc...

I'm gonna bring this back from the dead and say pull the ABS, knowing "white asian", this car won't see snow or rain just to get back to the garage and get his ballin IS300, so i say junk the ABS. And pick up a Omnipower quick clutch while he's riping the car apart.
