I hope I dont have bent valves! please help!
Ok heres the story, I was driving about 80 mph and I accedently shifted into 3rd, only for like 1/2 second, later that night I noticed some weird sounds from my motor but no big deal just little sounds, I did a few 1st to 3rd pulls with high rpm and after that I started hearing ticking, I think it is valve tick, its meatal to metal contact for sure, i just need to know what im dealing with here, just give me suggestions on what to check and what you think, thanks.
well all honda have some valve chatter, is it noticable louder than normal ?? i think your paranoid
was the clutch all the way out ?
was the clutch all the way out ?
Im not paranoid, its loud, my motor was way smooth and quiet before, I know something is wrong, I just need to know what to do, clutch was out, Im guessing it got to around 10,000 rpm, its an ls with 60,000 mi.

yea thats pretty bad on an ls, if you let it out all the way you probally did float some valves. i would go to get your valve clearance check and adjusted, like routine maininence then they will probally let you know what if you did hurt anything and be cheaper to diag

Im gonna do the valve lash check and adjustment tomarrow but im wondering how easy it is to bend a valve and how does high rpm knock them out of adjustment?
