99-00 Civic Si Cluster Question?????
I just bought a 99-00 Civic Si cluster and the guy told me something I never heard of. He said it comes with no maintnence required light and no lever to reset it. He said he believes it's some Canadian spec cluster, although he was not sure. I thought Canadian spec clusters come in km, not mph??? Anyway's he assured me it works fine and even offered to install it for me although I was not in my car. Have any of you seen this before? Heres a close up pic of it. As you can see, there is no shade of green for the maintnence required light as other Si clusters have.
if the tach, speedo, and all the temp/fuel gauges work.. don't worry about a damn maintnence flag.. just remember to change your oil every 3,000..
All US cars have the maintenance required reminder, so yes your Si cluster should have it. The Canadian SiR, however, does not have it.

maybe the guy you bought it from broke it, so it didn't come with the maintenance indicator. because that square in the tach is usually green and it would turn to red when an oil service is due. and that rectangular hole is where you reset it, you would stick your key in there to reset it, hence no lever.

He said that he was told it was a Canadian cluster, but I thought it would be in km, not mph?
I'm still going to use it, but I just found it odd.
Thank's for the help guy's!
