Default anyone w/b16 heads on b18c1

for anyone with b16 heads on there integras... ive already done a search on it and have seen all the pros and cons. i just want to know if those of you that do have done it, believe that it was worth it? im thinking of going that route simply because i need a running motor and have no time for my motor to be stiting at the shop while my b18 head gets worked...so i purchased a b16 head that will be getting port & polished with a new valvetrain...so my 2nd question is... is losing .04 compression from using a b16 head a big loss in compression?

Poorman's type-r is a great motor..Dont worry about the slightly lower compression the motor is still very responsive..

just look on the top of the pistons,,you should see little writing on them,,If they are b16a pistons they should say pr3 or p30 on them

i will take a look at that when the heads being installed, thanks...so losing .04 compression isnt so much... so will high compression valves and high compresion head gasket and ported head make up for the loss in compression?

No .04 compression is no big deal if thats what it really is..And yeah the thinner headgasket should make up a bit but Ive never liked the idea of raising the compression alot with thinner headgaskets..
