AHHHHHHHHH F'in Alarm Driving me CRAZZZY!!
Just purchased a 98 Integra.
The alarm(aftermarket) no matter what always set after about a minute NO MATTER WHAT.
Its owning me. So everytime I'm working on my car I forget and open the door and it geos off. Is there some way to turn it off, is it wired right. My brother said there usually a timer on the alarm. So i followed the wires to under my steering wheel, AHHHH I found black box with a little white dail. I guess its to adjust the timing of how long before it sets, do I turn it a certain way so it goes off? Well when I want it off, I WANT IT OFF. Not to trun on in a minute, two or even an Hour. I want it OFF.
Help!!!!!!!!!!
Im about to rip the **** out of it and f'n throw it against the wall.
Not Electronically Inclinded.

to adjust the auto arm function you will have to program it using the valet button

what model crime stopper? your right down the street. meet up with me and I'll give you a crimestopper book so you can know more about your alarm. It comes with all the programing information that you need. Also does your car have a hood pin? Wait don't answer that now. Because to program that crimestopper you have to ground your hood pin wire or open the hood. Its not like the dei brand alarms that the door has to be open. It has to be the hood. Real stupied i think. If you dont you are going to have to find the brain and ground the blue wire- neg input to get to your programming options.
Step one. open the hood. if there is no hood pin, ground the blue wire off the alarm brain.
Step two. Turn the key to the on postion.
Step three. Press the program/valet button 5 times, after a few seconds the unit will flash the lights 5 times.
Step four. Push the valet/program {again} the number of times that corresponds to the option number desired ( 1-20) You must get a light flash after each button press. " There are 20 programing options, There are to many to list I will give you the one to turn off the one that giving you problem that you are having. If you want them all come get the book, lol"
Step five. When you reach the desired programing level, press button #1(lock) or#2(unlock)< this is your alarm controller. To change the option.
Step six. Turn off the ignition Close hood or unground the blue wire and you are done.
You want to turn off option # 2 which is passive arming. This is what causing your problem. It arms the car 30 seconds after the ignition off and the last door has been closed.
You might want to do option 4 too. This one is active re-arm. This allows the system to re-arm itself 30 seconds after disarmed with the transmitter if a door has not been opened. This is handy if your car has been accidentally disarmed with out you knowledge.
Like I said ealier if you want the book call me to make arangments to pick up. you are about 10 min away.
