Is the LSD really worth the extra money, What actual difference is there?

 

lsd will help u accelerate faster and take turns better because 2 wheels are spinning instead of one. is it worth the money, it all depends on u.
here's a question for u technical peeps:
2 ek hatchs, same motor, same mods sayi/h/e 1 wt lsd , 1 without
1/4 differences?

have you ever seen a stock honda burn out? well 1 wheel spins. on most hondas one wheel spins because its an economy car and its not needed.

anyways, i have two friends who raced. one with a b18b in a CRX and one with a b16a w/lsd in an ek hatch. you would think the crx whould just take off because of all the torque and light weight, but it just spun through 3rd while the b16 just hooked and took off. GET IT.

 

what is the cheapest LSD??
phantom grip any good?? ( i heard it was inexpensive)

 

You get what you pay for.

Get an OEM ITR LSD or Quaiffe.

 

i would get oem lsd.. they are great but they kinda suck too... broke a itr lsd tranny sunday.. i was pissed.... grr......... the difference is.. with the si tranny i ran a 2.2 60 and a 9.3 1/8th.. now sunday before i blew the tranny i moved down to a 2.10 60 ft. and a 9.0 1/8th... thas a big difference... lsd is worth all the money..

 

ive seen the OEM ITR lsd for $400. is that a good price??? i have a B16A2 swap, GSR tranny, NX kit with (50 or 75 shot), header, CM clutch, and other small stuff....i dont suppose i will brake teh LSD like u did, but with those mods is the OEM ITR LSD a good one more my setup??
