I have a 95 civic dx.
the speedometer just stopped functioning. It doesn't move or the mileage doesn't even move. I tried changing the cluster with a new one 'coz i thought it was the cluster but it was the same thing. Still does not work. Everything else works, gas and rpm and all the lights... so what could be wrong with it?

Its the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) thats busted

I bet VTAK doesn't work either right?

 

i had this happend to me.. it's either your alternator is going out..or check your fuse. it should say "speedometer" and look to see if it's shot or just try replacing it with a new one.
