Default 99 accord govenor

I have a 99 accord sedan Ex 5-speed and i was just wondering what the govenor was set at. Has anybody hit their's? I hit 127 tonight and it was still climbing before I let off. Now i know that there are gonna be people that say I'm retarded for going that fast or they are gonna say something like 'You should never drive that fast", but I live in Nevada and I did it on a deserted desert road with nobody around except me and my buddy in my car. So save the hassle of trying to criticize me. Anyway, if anybody can tell me what the govenor is set at, that would be great. Thanx.

go test it out with your boys, so one or all of you could get killed trying to see how fast that thing could go.

ahhaha I don't drive that fast my friend...the resulting increase in points, fines, and insurance rates, plus the prospect of loosing my lisence and jail time are more than enough to deter me.....

I think you were talking to the OP right?

I hit 120 in my 6th gen, LX at 4300rpms on the highway. Never going to do that again due to the obvious consequences that come along with getting caught.

The technically correct answer, at least for a 99 LX I4 Accord, is 140mph. You should never get there, but if you ever happened to without killing yourself or anyone else, you will encounter a fuel cut-off.

What? You don't trust your tires to spin 32 times per second?

Like I said, I knew that there was gonna be people that were gonna write things saying that i was stupid for going that fast because i would kill myself, but as I STATED EARLIER, i live in the Nevada, and about 30 miles from me is a zone without a speed limit because there is nothing there but desert. I scoped it out a couple of times during the daytime just to make sure that there wasn't any houses or people or even animals. And the biggest animal i found was a big *** lizard. So there was a 0% chance of anybody getting hurt and by the way I have Z rated tires. But thanx for the input i guess, so the answer to my question is the govenor kicks in at 140mph and then the car basically stops. Thanx

Damn. 140mph. I'm 17 & want to try that...

Too bad I live in Orange County, CA. I'd end up crashing into the Nebisco factory or some random place like that. Would your tires seriously shred?
