Default 1988-1991 Civic Power windows into a crx? power mirrrors too?

i heard that you can just pull the pieces from a 1988-1991 Civic and it will bolt into my 1990 CRX si...

i want to know how much effort, fabrication, and what is needed to complete the swap....a complete write-up would be excellent!

so far i have the power window regulators...and thats it....

do i need relays or anything like that?

also,

i got the power mirrors and the switch...does it need a regulator or anything other than the switch and the two mirrors?

please help me!!!

as far as the mirrors go, only crx mirrors will fit on a crx without modification. Neither the sedan nor the hatch will mount up exactly right. As for the windows if you took them from a hatch i think that should bolt up, althought i may be wrong, since i have not tried this. If you took the regulators from a sedan then you have to replace the part where the window bolts on, with the one of your crx.

i got the power window regulators from a 88-91 civic ex 4dr i had to take the rails from the 4dr off and put the rails from a hatchback on them so they will work with my 89 ef hatch window im gonna still need to get a box from like auto loc that u put the window switches in to make it work. soon as i get that power box to make the windows work up and down im gonna put them in the hatch

im in the process of installing power windows and mirrors on my crx, however what i am using and what i would recommed you use is the jdm versions. As far as the civic sedan regulators go, if you want to use them this is what you need to do: i have heard that the windows will not fit the sedan regulators so you will need to replace the two "bars" one that the window mounts onto, the other to the car, with those from your stock crx. you can rivet them on if i am not mistaken. Since there are two different versions of crx window sizes depending on if you have your seatbelts on the door or pillar, so check that first, then it should fit, however even after you wire them up, how do you plan to mount the window switch such that it does not look like ****? The sedan switch is completely different from the crx one. If i were you, i would recommend that you either 1. get an aftermarket kit or 2. get the jdm ones. If you opt for 2 since i am in the process of wiring it up now i could give you hand.

the whole doors would make it easier, since it would come with the regulators + mirrors, but it is probably going to cost a bit, try ebay you might be able to find a set with everything you need for cheaper. Plus some sellers include the wiring diagram. If not like i said, i can help you out later when you get them

As for the mirrors...you can get a 88-91 sedan to work...and they look flawless
from the outside. You have to widen the mounting bolt and make a small notch
in the door frame for the mirror to fit. I did this mod years ago...just never got around to document it (may do it one day)
