They'll hold up for a while. As long as the stock jounce bumpers remain intact, they will keep the strut from bottoming out.
What will be the factor for an earlier than normal demise will be?;
Stock (OEM) shocks/struts are valved (calibrated) for stock spring rates. When you install high(er) rate springs (shorter / heavier coil wire) on a stock (OEM) shock/strut they have to work harder and wear earlier.

if it helps any i have a 97 accord and i have lowered it 2.5 inches and so far they have hold up but are starting to sag and crap out on me (after 5 months and these struts were about brand new, so even older struts wont hold up as long), although i am gonna replace the struts with better ones (a good thing to do) i still used the stocks just b.c i didn thave the money for new ones at the time.. however if u have money for springs and struts, u should go ahead and get kyb's (or whatever u want) struts that way u dont have to do the job twice (one for the springs and then another if u ever have to replace struts b.c your stock ones wore out) as P said they will wear out alot faster, i have had my stock struts on my lowered accord for about 5 months or so and i already see them going out, so there for thats why im replacing them with kybs.. So honestly if u can afford to get it all at once, that woudl be the best idea saves u time, stress, and alot of cussin

Actually, your springs have crapped out.

The Struts/shocks don't contribute anything to ride heaight.
All they do is dampen the suspension and provide mounting points for different stuff.

I was always under the impression when the struts are brand new and u install them your ride height will be a little bit higher at first but when the struts settle in the height will go back to normal. (i swore i even read that on a strut box, but i could have been lacking sleep )

the condition have NOTHING, NA DA, NONE to with the ride height, the strut/shock/damper only damper/rebound. It doesn't matter if you put a brand new Koni race shock that have valve spec for drifter or Gabriel/monroe autozone special.

yes they will they are very soft(too soft for my taste) and gentle on shock just like eibach prokit
