Has anyone used those radiator pellet things to stop a leak?
I have a small radiator leak and before I drop 100+ on a new radiator, does anyone know if those aluminum solutions (pellet/pellet free) work? I am temtped to spend the 3 dollars and try it, but my main question is if it will fudge up my cooling system. Thanks
Most of the times it does. They really aren't too good for the radiator. Might as well shell out the money for a new radiator. It will be worth it. By the way, how many miles do you have on your car? Mine went out at about 98000 miles.
yea i heard that those radiator sealers arent too good cuse they can block parts of the radiator that you dont want to be blocked...i recently got a new radiator from radiator doctor for like 85 bucks. just get a new one and solve your problems...good luck!
NOOO plz dont use it. it can stop your whole system, if u put too much in it. the antifreeze go's through the throttle body which has small holes in it, that crap will stop it up... have seen this many of times.

i concur
its not worth the risk, the new radiator is only $100 and alot less hassle if somthing goes wrong

I have 180k miles.. lol... I think it has been replaced before, but I am not 100% sure... THe one I got doesn't have the pellets, its like liquid aluminum stuff. It was only 3 dollars so I am tempted to use it. However if the consensus is negative, I won't.
