Default Help shaving car.

I have a black gsr and i want to take badges off the front and rear bumper. Can anyone tell me how to fill in the holes when i take them off?

Or bondo, but that will eventually fail.

2nd gen Integras had the emblem on the hood. 3rd gen's are on the bumper.

ok, well i tryed welding it, and it just melted my bumper soo ill just try bondo.

Ya missed that part, Well you can get this stuff called plastic weld......or JB weld. So yes you can weld plastic ..LOL

For the front bumper, you can use a soldering iron to melt and seal the holes in the plastic. Follow this with flexible polyester filler, sand, etc. For the holes in metal, it is in your best interest to weld them to avoid potential collapse of unsupported Bondo, JB weld, etc.

obviously not a real weld, as welders have to have a ground wire attached to at least one metal part for the current to flow and melt the weld.

have you ever welded before? not all welding consits of a ground like that

Well you can weld plastic, but I doubt he has the proper tools for it.

rofl ill be sure to try that if everything else fails, and i didnt really weld my front bumper but i'm gonna go get some bondo tomorrow and try that.

Bondo will sink and you bumper will develop nostrils. Use the soldering iron to fuse the holes before using a flexible filler.

or u could use a thing called fiberglass. works great on bumpers, did it to my old eg. just kittyhair the front and back of bumper!

,so you basically have to sand, prime, and match the paint to paint it? (like anything else) but what is the actual 'shaving' process, cus i was thinking about this
