NO!
This is probably one of the worst things you could do to your car. Its not going to give you 20 plus hp and it's not going to make you faster.
The resistor chip tricks your ECU into thinking it's getting alot more air, so it dumps more fuel at it. All you'll be doing is getting worse gas mileage and wasting fuel.
Please search for this, there's plenty of threads on why these are terrible ideas.
rule #1, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

don't buy whack chips off ebay. they could possibly do nothing.
an ecu chip works to trick the ecu into changing its stock settings. say you want no redline, or high vtec cross over point, more fuel added during vtec, etc etc. there's a lot to it.
but you should talk to one of the HT sponsors who tune n/a and f/i setups. they can make u a good base map according to your setup.
you should get a chip once you have enough mods. with just intake, header, exhaust...i don't think you'll need a chip.

Tuned Hondata, neptune, crome, AEM EMS, etc. cant really just throw a chip in a boosted car and hope it works.

firstly, the ebay junkers "chips" are not chips at all. They're resistors that are spliced into (typically) the map sensor wire. This changes the voltage reading for when the ECU reads it, tricking it into thinking it's running lean and throwing more fuel at it. This essentially richens up the mixture, which does NOT make power.
So, the ECU richens the mixture, without thinking it's richening the mixture.
now read this

and think about what that means for performance.

I now have a header, a Brullen catback, and an AEM Intake on my 96 SE Coupe. If I dont think I will go for any more mods, is it worth it to get the 5 or 10 hp by buying a chip from PowerJet or any of those mail back reprogram companies?
