i would not buy either of them personally. look for something with far less milage on it.

your getting a lesser of a car, its older, and it has more milege. not worth a straight out trade

Let's see; this is an Accord forum, and you expect what kind of answer??

Obviously he likes your car enough to offer the trade, why don't you?

Well a 240 is rear wheel drive. That's always fun rifting in the closed down Kmart parking lot.But really it has a ton of miles on it.but so does your accord. If your accord has been taken care of it's probably in better shape then the 240

here's a pic of my 92 accord I just bought a few months ago for $300 bucks the owner thought it had a bad trans but it was just the tcu so good deal for me.

it has 156k on it But it runs and drives great I wouldn't trade straight up for a 89 240 with 170k.I'd need some serious boot. But I would for a 92ish-240 in comparable shape.

id only trade for the 240 if you were going to drop a new motor in it, like the SR20. if thats what you plan on doing then go for it.

when you get around that milage and ageyou are going to have to do a lot of work to get the cars back to tip top shape

1989 was over 17 years ago and there are lots and lots of parts that are going to need replacement (ie rubber parts).

I would think about getting a much newer car......or keep your car since YOU KNOW what's up with it.

Your accord really doesnt have that many miles, my 95 have more than that. Good luck.

over the past couple years, people have really started to jack the prices up on their 240s cuz of the drifting craze. that 240 sounds like it could go for up to $2000 around these parts. crazy, huh? I gave a try at drifting, but if you can see in my sig of cars i've owned, i got owned by the police for drifting in my S12 stupid immature habits..

I had a cb7 that made it to 240 thousand miles before I totaled it. The f22b2 engine is a great, reliable and fun to drive motor. Id recommend stickin with the accord. Plus this is an accord forum so what more would you expect.
