IT IS NOT the same. This is friction modified, fully synthetic.

This info was first found on Honda-Tech.com and then I confirmed it with the local chevy dealer when I bought it.

A post on the message board at http://www.oilanalysis.com found Synchromesh to consist of a 5W30 non-detergent oil with a ::"friction modifer and an EP":::::
