Default OBD1 to OBD2

Im going to be putting the obd1 gsr from my teg into my 98 hatch.....i know theres a crank sensor on the odb2 motors, if im going to be useing a jumper harness do i need that sensor? and also what other conectors are the same...ive already searched btw....thanks a bunch, Ryan

your going to have to change more than just the crank sensor BTW. You gonna have to swap injectors for obd2 since they wont plug into yours, and probably a few other sensors.

You need that crank sensor as well, but you can always cheat and wire the CKF into the CKP and there you go no more CEL.

yea ive got the injectors from my 96 ls motor that i was originally gonna put in there. i ended up getting another obd1 gsr motor with burnt valve, and i'll be buildin that for my teg. i just got a new high comp omni valve train that will be going in that head. but can i use a ls dizzy on a gsr? i was just going to rewire it to work with the plug.


back on the crank sensor tho...is there one that the OBD1 ecu looks for?
