My car has developed this really strange noise. I thought it was my exhaust but ive worked on it a bit and the noise hasnt changed. The car still idles and runs normally. Any ideas on what this could be? Whatever it is, it doesnt sound good.

that could just be something makin noise like your trunk or something stupid like that. have a buddy rev the car and you walk around it to see qwere its coming from

 

ill give that a shot, my car has a lot of rattles that ive slowly been eliminating.
i drove my car around a bit and i noticed something interesting. after every time i rev it, the vac level drops to about 22-23 mm hg, and then levels out at 20. maybe the noise is being caused by a vibration or something from a vac leak. i sometimes get a jumpy idle when the car is cold.

i dunno, ill try diagnosing it more tomorrow.
