gay engines <-- pro's
So my friend has a 1990 LS integra with b18b and when he cranks his car it sounds like it's caming, we went to see if it was throwing codes and there were none, we checked the timing w/ the timing gun and we don't know what the problem is. any suggestions, thank you

Try pulling one plug wire at a time while the engine is running and make sure there is a noticable change each time. Make sure the wires are in the proper order. Might as well check the rotor and cap.
Look at the cam up marks and the crank pulley white mark and make sure they are in the proper alignment.
How does it run? Where is the idle at while at operating temp? A low idle will cause it to act like it is camming with 404's. Ok, it won't sound that good.
If it pulls strong I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

yeah buddy you need an engin that is about the pistons thrusting back and forth in the sleeves, not pistons knocking against pistons or valves... take it to a shrink
yeah well we're actually building a b18c5 as of now, we been building it for about 8 months and all we need now is the skunk 2 IM and we'll be rolin

Sure you wanna build a more expensive motor when you can't even get your B18B to work? Take it a shop.

Not the point or what I asked. How are you gonna build a more difficult engine when you can't troubleshoot an easier one? That is what I meant. Didn't try to sound rude either.

One more thing, test your coil. And you said you checked your cam timing, that the cams are phased right with the crank. A clogged cat or dislodged brick can also block the exhaust so that it will be hard for the engine to run.
hell yea, thanks for that info sam i started to run just a little better we can actaully get it to 6 now, but the best bet now is just to put some steelies on the front and try to burn till it blows.
