I installed AEM couple weeks ago, they've been improved recently from 3 bolts to 5 bolts. So far I'm really happy with them.

STR or Unorthodox Racing. I prefer something with 5 bolts not 4. Don't want to take a chance with slipage.

The more fastening points the better.

I've never seen any that will fit in the stock timing covers:

the pictures from that thread did not load for me...so you are saying that I would need to change my valve cover to one of those mooncut ones?

do you know how much I should be spending for those? And about the clearance with the valve cover, would I need a mooncut one?

AEM is what I have, they're extremely lightweight and sport 5 spokes. Skunk2's are sweet too because they have allen-wrench bolts which makes things a little bit easier.

the BDLs are very very very close. mine have a hum, but it's from teh plastic cover, not the metal one. other than that, they clear just fine. even then, i am still running my plastic cover b/c once the gear clears its own path, the sound will go away.

I'm running Golden Eagle's. Bigger nuts=easier adjustments

so i would still be able to use my current stock valve cover? just want to be sure, there is clearance right?

i rather have a 3bolt aem with 6pt bolts then a skank2 6pt gear with 6 shitty allen screws

it doesnt matter if you have 3 bolts or 20, whats more important is to be able to apply the proper clamping force, which allen screws are lacking.

imo the most sturdy designs i've seen are the GEs, fidanzas, aems, and the str pros. they are in no particular order of preference, but those are a few that comes to mind that i've used.

for the fidanza ones, are there any clearance problems with the valve cover? And how much can you get them for?

I have never heard of BDL/STR/UR slipping. I have heard of AEM slipping and have seen it one time on a civic.

not trying to be an *** but, you can buy sockets with allen keys built into them so you can use a torque wrench...
