5th gen wheelbearing, Can I replace it?
My driver side wheelbearing is going. Im just curious if this is something I can replace in my driveway or if this is something that you need special tools to do.
they have to be pressed out...sorry
to cut your costs, i recommend pulling the knuckle yourself and bringing it to a shop with a press, rather than having them do it for you

you didn't specify, but yeah, the rears can be done without a press. that assembly is the hub and bearing assembly all in one.
For the reawr whell bearing you can't press it out you have to by the whole hub assembly. It's not very hard to do, you just need to take the old one out and replace it with the new one. I'm not exactly sure what tools you would need. Good luck
I believe you can change the rear bearing as well with the aid of a press. It had to be put in there at some point in time right they didn't machine the race into the hub and then put some ***** in it. Or did they?...................
