Default Snapped off coolant bleeder bolt!

This is why I hate working on my car. Everytime I think any idiot should be able to follow a Helms manual, I prove that this idiot cannot.

I really did not think I was tightening it that much. But this is what happened when I tried to bleed my coolant.

How screwed am I? Am I going to lose my ZC engine over a friggin bleeder bolt.

depending on where it is, you probalby just need to replace the upper radiator hose water neck

edit: yea its in the upper water neck, looks like honda has it for about $15

This is on a DOHC ZC. Would an 88-89 Integra water neck work?

why don't you just find a bolt that fits in there, and seal the threads with teflon tape. its not really a major part. i don't even use that thing when i bleed my cooling system

Looks like he ripped a chunk of the housing off with it lol.

try a sohc housing and see if it fits or get someone to weld that up for you. You don't really need it.

I can't just shove a bolt in there. It completely snapped off the entire threaded part.

Looks like I need part #5. Less than $11!

Thanks to zcrxt I now have a replacement housing. The bleeder bolt is pretty tight. Should I just follow someof the suggestions and NOT use the bleeder bolt? Or on a ZC in a CRX is it necessary?
