HID's Installed, pics inside.
I finally got my HID's installed, let me just say they were well worth the money i spent for them ($260.00), bulbs carry a 1 year warranty as do the ballist, which even if the ballist go bad after teh warranty they'll still only cost $50.00 each, so not a bad deal anyways, they turned out to be the perfect lighting i wanted, so i must admit i'm very pleased with them, and yes this is on the stock 4th gen housings.

alot of people have always talked about the looks of the lens, though after seeeing others with stock headlights and no complaints i decided to give it a try, which thankfully there is now excessive glare or UFO's anywhere.

Thats because he isn't far away from the wall he is hitting with the lenses. The glare will increase when you move away. There isn't a clear cut off of the beam pattern, if you call that a beam pattern at all. I bet if you go inside a garage when it is completely dark, you will see exactly where the beam pattern is, it goes everywhere. I had friends who did this and they got into accidents because it blinded the oncoming driver.
If you get a ticket for it, you deserve it. No offense.

What about when i get into an accident because i couldn't see the deer that was in front of me cause stock headlights blow on ef's?
<--- also HID owner.
If my headlights were that big of a problem with glare and oncoming drivers not being able to see don't u think i'd be getting high beamed...... You know how many times i have gotten high beamed.... ZERO.

All I'm saying is that since it does put out glare, it could affect others on the road. If you are going to put hid in ur car, then do a retrofit. But I guess since u have your beams lowered, it doesn't matter. As long as your not passing by me then its all good.

Stock headlights on the ef are alright, they don't blow. put thos stupid ebay projectors in your car and then tell me which one blows more. It's not my fault if you can't see the deer thats standing in the road, open your eyes lol, or don't drive so fast.
As for the fact that you don't get high beamed, GREAT! Does it look like I care? I don't beam on coming drivers most of the time. i will beam if they arn't coming around a turn or if they are too bright. I have solutions besides not beaming people.

Its not about how fast you are going, u can't see anything with crx headlights. but i guess u must have night vision. As for Projectors, i don't know how they compare and really don't even care how they do.
Just saying for the fact that since i am not getting high beamed by oncoming traffic thats it's obivoulsy not bothering anyone.

get some decent bulbs (not some hyper white ones or whatever) and adj the lights correctly...I dont thing the crx or ef lights are that bad at all...for a late 80s car they are damn good...I was amazed at how much improvement I got just by adj them correctly...
oh and I did the "throw some HIDs in the stock housing thing" there is a **** load of glare...I doubt your car is some special case that magically has no glare...go for a ride in your friends car and have someone drive yours at you...thats what convinced me to take mine out/

all ultimx is saying is the cut off from a fluted lense scatters the beam all over the road. yes you can see better but it also places the beam in oncomming drivers eye sight. thus why he reccomended the retro fit with the projectors. the projectors will keep the beam where it needs to be and not get in the eyes of oncomming drivers. unless you can pry open the headlights and create some sort of glare gaurd.

If you think CRX headlights are bad, then obviously you havent driven a DA Integra with the U.S. housings that use the 9004 bulb!
Horrible!
The JDM one-piece housings using the H4H bulbs are much better. The 9004 bulb is really at fault here. You guys ever notice how the filament is perpendicular to the long axis of the glass bulb?
The 9007 is like the 9004, but with the filament positioned a better way and different mounting tabs.
Anyway, go drive a 90-93 Teg with U.S. 9004 headlights......your CRX will shine after you've had that experience.

ef headlights do suck a fat one...i turn my high beams on as much as possible just to see 10 ft in front of me. i almost wrecked in fog one night going under the speedlimit in a turn (from not being able to see ****). as for the ebay projectors...noticable difference...but still arent that great, even with a bulb upgrade. i have my stock headlights back in because i had to sell my "projectors" for some quick cash. word of advice, if you DO have ebay projectors ...DO NOT USE HIGH BEAMS!!! they melt the lense for some reason, the guy i sold them to figured that out for me.
I think my EFs lights are pretty awesome. They're not the brightest lights i've ever owned but they're far from bad. I even have some ricer blue lights that the previous owner left in there. the highs are halogen still and they kick ***.
My 300zx on the other hand could light up a football field. Lows were more than adequate and high beams were insane; the only car i've been in since then has been my dad's little vw golf. the low beams are ok but the brights are nice.

I'm gonna have to DISAGREE. Either you have your OEM Stock CRX headlights aimed wrong after you slammed your ride or you are praising that Ebay garbage because you once owned it.
I've never heard or seen any of that Ebay garbage projectors have the proper cut-off or focal point placement for great lighting performance. Those lights are nice if you want different looking headlights for show, but for how little they cost, Im sure the quality and precision is sacrificed a bit too appeal to eBayers.
Just by you stating that the HIGH Beams MELT the housing shows how cheap those are.
By the way, why are you using your HIGH Beams if those Ebay projectors are supposed to be better than OEM anyway?
You must be using your HIGH Beams long enough to start melting stuff.
Not trying to be a dick, I just dont like people misleading others in thinking those Ebay lights have better performance than what they really are.
I had a customer with those on his CRX and they were horrible at night. He's even the first to admit that too!
One thing with the Internet, is you tend to see people always PRAISE what they got eventhough it may or may not be better than what they replaced it with.
