Water temp gauge install help

Default Water temp gauge install help

Ok this is really dum but i just bought a water temp gauge...autometer and i installed it....

put sending unit into head

one wire to +
one wire to -
one signal wire

when i turn the key to on the gauge jumps past 250...(all the way to end)....i thought i had the signal and + wires croseed but i dont....think this can be a bad gauge?

im also putting the same gauge for my 99 si but cant seem to find where to put the sensor? it`s autometer. it seems like you might have a bad ground. check wires and maybe even rewire them if you have to with set of new wires.

lol i figured it out...a piece of the wire was stuck in the head causing it to ground out..lol...what a dumb mistake...u can put the sensor right under the dizzy....where your stock sensor is...it screws right in
