I know about the gearing choices available for the Type R, ATS mainly, but
for the civic, what do you guys normally do?
I would really prefer better ratios, I dont need to go 105 in 3rd gear, or 70ish in 2nd.
I know I CAN bolt an EX tranny up and get much better gearing....but my question is, Can I just buy a Final drive for this tranny to quicken things up a bit?

 

Final drive for CX/VX is 3.25.

DX is 4.06, and the Si/EX has a 4.25 FD.

Aftermarket? Can't tell you.

 

a Final Drive from Houseman Autosports will cost you about $1400 US.

That EX tranny for $250 sounds alot nicer now don't it?

BTW you'd likely have to send your old ring gear and countershaft to Jamie before he could start machine work.

 

Yes, it does....Any suggestions on where to get one. I don't want to just get any tranny for $250, put it in, and it grinds every gear or something.
