Default how to get auto D16Y8 motor to idle correctly

hey guys i just got a D16Y8 swapped into my '91 hatch last night... its converted to OBD-I using a Z6 dizzy, alt., saturated rc 370cc injectors, rywire harness, and a P28 ecu... the motor came out of an automatic car, so the intake manifold is different(or so im told) from a manual car... i dont see anything on the back of the manifold that looks like it would be an iacv... i still have my old z6 that is good for sensors and IM but id like to keep the Y8 manifold since its supposed to flow better... is there anyway to integrate my iacv from my z6 onto the Y8 mani? any other ideas? thanks a lot guys

Not too sure if a Z6 IACV will fit on a Y8 manifold, but you should be able to drill and tap the area on the back of the manifold where the IACV would have been mounted.

the z6 iacv will not work on the y8 manifold because the plenum on the y8 gets in the way of the wire connector on the z6 iacv. you will have to get an iacv from a manual y8 and tap out two holes to mount it and drill one hole for the iacv. also if you are using the automatic y8 throttle body, you will need to take the automatic iacv off the bottom of the throttle body and make a plate to cover the hole left by it. i covered the hole on my throttle body with a piece of aluminum plate that i cut to fit under it.

hey guys i need my car really bad on monday and i got so much stuff to get done by then... i was wondering- will it affect anything(besides gas mileage) if i use the car to get back and forth to work without the iacv on? im not sure but i dont think it should affect the car while im on the highway right?
