Default cooling fan not working

I'm working on my sisters 93 civic coupe trying to get the fans to work. I've checked the fuses and relays under the hood by the battery. I've checked the relays that are by the driver side headlight. I've checked the fuses under the dash. I know the temp switch for the temp needle works cause the needle registers hot and cold. I jumpered the other coolant temp switch like i've done to other cars which makes the fan run whenever the key gets turned on and the fan wont run. When i hook the fan to direct power it works fine. Is there anything i'm over looking or am i going to have to chase wires to find it the hard way??
Thanks in advance
Aaron

I have been going through this myself. I changed the fan, fuses, Thermo, Thermo swith and nothing. I have to finally just make a fan switch so I can turn it on from inside when I am driving.

If anyone know whats going on please post the answer. I want to know also. I know its happened to some hondas.

There might be air pockets in your system. Try bleeding your sytem by running your car with the radiator cap off untill you don't see any air bubble and it starts overflowing. I usually drive around first then pop open the cap because it takes a while to heat up. The fan usually kicks on once the coolant overflows. Do this about two times and your system should be operating normal now.

if it's running off direct power, but you jumped the temp switch and it's not running, them something IS wrong with your temperature switch.. What other components is there? Temperature goes up, sensor realizes this, cmompletes connection with fan switch which turns on the fan switch, which turns the fan on...

If you jumped the switch, and it's got power, than it should be running.

How exactly did u jump the switch? What exactly did u do? Unplug the temp sensor from the switch and jump that part?

i unplugged the temp switch at the thermostat housing, used a wire to jumper the plug itself, basically made the wire a continuous loop, and i have done this several times when checking fans/sensors, and when you turn the key on it makes the fan automatically kick on, but it did not do this for this car which is why i ran direct power to the fan to see if it was bad, and its not. I hope i made that understandable enough
