Default Tire size: 6th gen Accord

Currently i've got some new 17x7.5's waiting to go on the car with some new tires.

However, my choice of tires is fairly limited since I want to stick with all seasons. However, some better options open up with just slightly different sizes.

With the 6h gen's different suspension setup, I was hoping someone could tell me if the tires would fit without rubbing if they were a bit wider. I'm dropped 1.9" front 1.8" rear.

Currenly I'm looking at 205/50/17, but I found a set of 215/50/17s that I favor over the Kumho Ecsta's.

Does anyone use 215/50/17's on their car? Thanks

PS I won't run anything lower than 50 cause MN potholes are the suck.

as long as your offset is good then im sure that'd be ok. I have 215/45 17 tires on my car and no rubbing. however by going to 50 series sidewall height on a 215 tire you are likely to be going larger overall diameter than the original tire and I don't have experiance with that. Also just remember that your speedo will read slower than you are actually going. (maybe 1-2mph at 60)

so do Michigan potholes but you already knew that

I thought the ECSTA line of passenger tires where summer tires, not for driving in the snow? you said you wanted to stay with all-seasons, or did you decided to go with something a little different?

Kumho Ecsta ASX's are all season, I guess they call a certain line of tires the ECSTAs.

My other option is the Continental ContiExtremeContact which is 80 bucks more per tire but also better:

I would ideally do summer/winter wheels but storage is an issue in college, along with the fact that I'm a lazy son of a bitch

Yea, MI potholes are awful...but at least in MI they fill them with things...this **** hurts

ah, I didn't see those.

Where are you seeing a 80 difference per tire? ASX's are $89 per tire and the ContiExtremeContact's are $120 per tire, both in the 215/50/17 size. Maybe I'm missing something.

What about those? Same price as the ContiExtremeContact in the 215/50/17 size.

I had Potenza (can't remember the exact model) tires on my Accord before and I liked them.
