im having traction issues in my lil turbo sohc, setup is described in my sig, but anyway 1st gear vtec just blows the tires off... tires are kumho 711 205/50/15, i know not the best tire to work with, but i use it for auto-x more than anything. should i be engaging vtec lower? i engage the vtec now at 4500rpms, and when it kicks it just throws you back in the seat, but i'd rather have a smoother powerband with a good torque transition than the whiplash effect. my turbo makes full boost by 3500rpms, is this too low to be engaging vtec? i hooked it to a switch and tried running it full-time for bout 30 mins just testing it and it didn't seem to bog, once the turbo spools (bout 2500) it develops power instantly. i'm using a spec stage 3 clutch which has no problem grabbing what i throw at it, i havent had it long but i've never really felt it slip. i usually launch around 2.5-3k with a full-throttle launch controlled by uberdata (allows it to build between 1-2psi with the launch).
